The thunder god kills his own brother, spares Carl and Donut at the pig's plea, and departs with two pieces of his returning mother, Krakaren, and Samantha.
Taranis, having killed his brother Emberus for attacking his beloved Penelope, dominates the arena's aftermath. He tears Krakaren Prime down to two tentacles, heals the near-dead pig, and endures Eris's taunts that his love for Penny is an AI trick and that their mother is returning. When the chaos goddess leaves, he looms over Carl and Donut, crackling with electricity — but spares them, because Penelope (who has just 'broken up' with him over his lie about the splooge and his marriage) spoke on their behalf; 'We are not done.' He banishes Khepri ('Go home... kill them later'), catches a Krakaren tentacle without looking, and announces he is taking two of the four present pieces of his mother.
Then Samantha whispers something in his ear that surprises him, and he snatches her up and cracks away — departing with Samantha and Krakaren both, ending the floor.
