Samantha

Psamathe · Sam · the god-head · a piece of the mother

The god-head reveals her true plan: she engineered her ride with Taranis to reach the temple and kill the 'demon mother lady' and the son who tricked her into birthing a world-ending monster.

Story so far

Samantha, the god-head secretly Psamathe and a piece of the returning mother-god, drops her clownish mask in an epilogue message to Louis. Her departure with Taranis and Krakaren Prime was no accident but 'all part of my plan': the two are at a temple trying to combine pieces to make whole Taranis's 'mom wife,' but it won't work because they're missing a piece — and Samantha has slipped away. Her real aim is lethal: to kill 'the demon mother lady and her jerk son,' whom she thought a friend but who tricked her into giving birth to a monster destined to destroy all of creation, inside the dungeon and out.

Cheerfully framing genocide-prevention as fun ('doesn't that sound fun?'), she confirms the darkest thread of the Scavenger's Daughter mystery — that she is the unwitting mother of the pantheon-ending weapon — and sets herself loose as an independent agent hunting the ones who used her.

Appearance

A disembodied minor-goddess doll head with glamorous molded features and tousled hair, radiating a faint divine aura, now moving on her own agenda.
