character

Samantha

Psamathe

Samantha surfs into battle on mantis gore, helps kill Vrah, recognizes her cousin Lunette, and rejects the ninth-floor transfer by flying back into the castle.

Story so far

Samantha bursts through the projected ceiling opening on a wave of liquefied mantis remains. Burned bald by the security-room blast, she rolls between Carl's legs and launches herself into the dinosaurs mauling Vrah.

When Carl thanks her before the transfer, Samantha misunderstands it as a breakup. News of Signet's sacrifice shocks her, but the appearance of Princess Lunette's incomplete body redirects her attention. She calls the golem her cousin and urgently asks Carl to keep it.

Rather than travel with Carl's group, Samantha magically lifts from the floor and rockets down through a hole, heading back toward the unconscious Diwata and the unresolved castle fight.

Appearance

A burned, hairless mannequin head moving through battle under her own magic.

Role

Samantha survives her sabotage, secures Lunette's body through Carl, and chooses her own unfinished battle.

Relationships

Vrah — She bites the dying hunter during the raptor attack.
Signet — She is devastated to learn Signet sacrificed herself.
