The banished god of lust whose escape from the Nothing made the memorial crystal and Scavenger's patch flare — but who never drew Apito out.
Yarilo is a feral, banished god of lust central to a knot in the dungeon's cosmology that Carl keeps circling. Child of the thunder god Taranis, he was banished to the Nothing by Apito — both his grandmother and, through her marriage to Taranis, his stepmother — for breaking the peace of her Butcher's Masquerade spell by sexually assaulting the familiar of another guest. Near the end of Faction Wars, when the party used the Gate of the Feral Gods to teleport to Architect Houston's castle hoping a demon would appear to attack Samantha, it was instead the freed Yarilo who emerged from the Nothing.
His release is significant because a feral god escaping the Nothing usually draws another god to deal with it — and by rights Apito herself should have appeared, but she did not; instead the Apito Memorial Crystal and Carl's Scavenger's Daughter patch both activated and malfunctioned. That failure of Apito to manifest, and the crystals' misfires in her stead, feed Carl's growing suspicion that something is deeply wrong with the goddess and the whole Scavenger lineage.
