The goddess-daughter who overthrew her vulture mother to found the current pantheon — the mythic template for the pantheon-erasing Scavenger's Daughter.
Apito is the daughter of the old vulture goddess Nekhebit in the dungeon's origin myth, as told by Rosetta. Impregnated by the All-Tree (or self-impregnated — the myth varies), she and her children led the rising new gods who expelled the old wilder ones. Apito herself dealt the final blow, defeating her mother Nekhebit — the last old god to fall — by absorbing the last of the vulture goddess's worshippers and seizing her power.
She thus embodies the myth's terrifying possibility: an entity with the power to *erase the current pantheon and start again*. That template is what makes the Scavenger's Daughter so feared, for that mythic child is said to share Apito's world-remaking power and exceed it, able to take the very powers of gods for herself. Apito's name also attaches to the memorial crystal Prepotente carries, an object Carl and Emberus have sought.
Not embodied in the text; a goddess-daughter of the old vulture lineage who founded the current pantheon.
