The Scavenger's Daughter

Daughter's Kiss

Carl's fed-and-unleashed strike weapon — revealed by the Scavenger myth to be bound up with a captive god-killer child the war mages hunt.

Story so far

The Scavenger's Daughter is the chargeable strike weapon Carl must 'feed' before unleashing (via Daughter's Kiss), whose deeper nature Rosetta's myth-lecture finally frames. In the dungeon's tangled cosmology, the old vulture-goddess Nekhebit bore three children — a daughter (Apito), a son, and a centipede (Scolopendra) — and the myth's 'Scavenger' is variously the soul-cleaning son, Scolopendra, or a split divine trinity. The 'Scavenger's Daughter' born of that lineage is an entity with Apito's power to erase the pantheon and start anew — but stronger, able to *take the powers of gods and use them for herself*.

The war mages, per Akuma, are hunting exactly this being, which they identify as Samantha's captured 'sand-ooze daughter' — the same power the system says 'opens her eyes' near a god. Carl is skeptical (they fought the thing and it read as 'no god killer'), but no one knows how the war mages know, making the weapon's true identity — and the escape plan resting on it — a matter of unnerving faith.

Appearance

A chargeable strike-weapon whose effect is a devastating unleashed blow ('Daughter's Kiss') rather than a described object; mythically bound to a captive god-killer child.

Role

Carl's fed strike weapon, revealed as tied to the mythic pantheon-erasing god-killer the war mages seek.

Relationships

Samantha — The god-head whose captured 'daughter' the war mages equate with this mythic entity.
Nekhebit — The vulture Scavenger-lineage goddess from whose myth the Scavenger's Daughter descends.
Apito — The pantheon-founding daughter whose world-remaking power the Scavenger's Daughter shares and exceeds.
Carl — Wields it as a weapon while doubting the war mages' claim it is a god killer.
