The Tracksuit Troika

Story so far

The Tracksuit Troika is Elle's nickname for a trio of Russian crawlers (that isn't their real name) who race a Cadillac and mostly keep to themselves — former underlings of Jurgen during Faction Wars, of whom he holds a low opinion. Drawn into Imani and Elle's final heat, two of the three had wanted to reach the Pineapple Cabaret but a third worshipped a god and was ineligible to drive, so they missed the cut. They told Imani and Elle they'd take a deal and try Carl's escape idea — then didn't, planning instead to trick their heat-mates and bolt for the exit, which would have killed Imani, Elle, and Chris.

When their Cadillac flips vertical and rockets for the gate, the APV and Chris's truck strip its shield, Prepotente fuzzes it out, and Princess Donut crushes the car flat with Astral Paw in under a second, earning three player-killer skulls. Elle later softens Donut's guilt with tales of the Troika's cruelty — one, Ivan, once dismantled a bridge for scrap and caused a fatal train crash he found funny — though Carl, putting himself in their frightened shoes, finds he cannot truly hate them.
