character

Chris Andrews

Chris

The departed crawler, transformed into a werewolf by Scolopendra's first attack, wakes in Sheol and is knocked out before he can turn.

Story so far

Chris — the crawler sent early through the 'Nothing' portal, Imani's love — reappears in the epilogue in an unexpected place and shape. Rather than the Pineapple Cabaret, he wakes in Sheol alongside Louis, Britney, Pontiff, and Forkith, having been transformed into a werewolf by Scolopendra's first (Transformation) attack. As a flashing 'Change imminent' warning hangs over him and he struggles against strangers holding him down, a bald Crest fires a bolt to knock him unconscious — a precaution, since if he turned he could kill everyone; Britney insists they not hurt him, identifying him as Chris.

He is left unconscious and lupine in the sweltering cave as Forkith recruits the group as soldiers for his hidden Sheol front.

Appearance

A crawler mid-transformation into a werewolf — a 'Change imminent' state — knocked unconscious before fully turning.

Role

The departed crawler turned werewolf, stranded in Sheol and subdued before he can change.

Relationships

Britney — Who identifies and protects him, insisting the others not hurt him.
Louis — His fellow diverted crawler, waking beside him in Sheol.
Scolopendra — Whose first attack transformed him into a werewolf.
Forkith — The demon organizing the Sheol group Chris is stranded among.
