Story so far
The chapter takes place almost entirely in one room: Louis on a bed, Edgar standing on another so he can be level with him, Kiwi and her babies wheeled in, Samantha hovering overhead after a trip outside, and Baroness Victory and Fopsy arriving out of thin air with a crack.
It functions simultaneously as war council, field ward, and confessional — the place where every legal escape is closed, where Epitome Tagg is stalled over Warlord Chat, where Samantha admits to her part in Geyrun's death, and where a system message announces that Emberus has entered the realm.
