character

Psamathe

Samantha

The divine name Emberus uses for Samantha in the quest demanding her capture.

Story so far

When Emberus updates the quest Find out who killed my son, he names his target not as Samantha but as "this so-called Psamathe," who claims she was part of his son's death. He wants her captured and delivered so he can handle the interrogation personally, after which he intends to cleanse the world in fire to remove the stink of the murderer's presence.

The name marks the difference between the crawlers' hovering, sardonic companion and the demigod daughter of a god — the thing Carl is now commanded, as a martyr, to fly out and bring to her father.

Role

Emberus's name for the demigod he demands be brought before him.

Relationships

Samantha — The same being under her crawler-facing name.
Emberus — Her father, who demands her interrogation.
Geyrun — The son whose death she claims a part in.
