Preservation’s communal station reveals the ancient colony-ship hull and blind section where a hostile vessel hides its captives.
Preservation Station is an orbital home and transit hub built outward from a giant original colony ship affectionately called Pressy. Its silver-blue public corridors, integrated housing, planted malls, and low surveillance reflect a society accustomed to safety. The older Merchant Dock areas preserve outdated storage chambers and forgotten operational spaces beneath newer systems.
Those physical layers now shape the murder case. A Port Authority insider diverts ten refugees into a transfer module, which disappears beyond the ordinary traffic record. The Preservation Responder discovers the module attached to a bulky ship in station section zero, concealed in the sensor shadow along Pressy’s upper starboard hull. The captors have exploited both the station’s institutional trust and the geometry of its oldest structure.
A vast orbital settlement built around an old colony ship, with a curved transit ring below the main structure, silver-blue malls, plant biomes, layered docks, satellites, and a massive starboard hull.
The station is both the sanctuary the refugees sought and the complex machine whose trusted systems and forgotten shadows have been turned against them.
