character

Elle McGib

Elle

Flying crawler cited by Donut as proof the fifty-to-one odds on Carl were an insult.

Story so far

Elle took part in the rescue that ended Carl's Death Challenge!, and Princess Donut invokes her on air as evidence the bookmakers were fools: did they see how fast Elle flies? Donut lists her beside Li Na's chains and Katia Grim's dodging, noting that five of the crawlers present had been in the area's top ten.

Odette agrees that some of this crawl's survivors are far stronger than usual, and she is sorry the era of crawlers banding together is ending. Elle's contribution is one of the reasons the fifty-to-one line collapsed into a fortune for the bettors and a disaster for Borant Corporation.

Role

Allied crawler whose flight speed helped make Carl's rescue possible.

Relationships

Carl — Crawler she helped rescue from the Death Challenge.
Princess Donut — Held her up on air as proof the odds were wrong.
Li Na — Fellow rescuer named in the same breath.
