Bloom

the Bloom

Faction whose dahlia-like sigil Loita wears openly as she takes over the team's PR duties.

Story so far

The Bloom announces itself at the end of the fourth floor through a single detail: the shiny, blinking pin on Loita's chest, a dahlia-like symbol that Carl recognizes and deliberately commits to memory so he can sketch it later on his scratchpad. He is no artist like Katia Grim, but he intends to do his best.

The pin matters because Carl has concluded that symbology is important to the mudskippers, and therefore important to the crawl and the floors to come, a lesson the fourth floor drove home. Keeping track of faction sigils is something the Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook sorely lacks, and he means to fix it. The Bloom's presence on the admin now controlling the team's information flow is the only clue offered about what the faction actually wants.
