Chapter 36

The Bloom, now simply called the Party, is an ultra-nationalist political party that has taken control of the entire kua-tin system government.
It represented less than 15% of the vote when Mordecai signed his indentureship but has since run the system into bankruptcy.
The Party now requires all kua-tin to wear a badge indicating whether they are members.
Mordecai likens it to a mix of Axis Japan and Nazi Germany, though he says even that comparison falls short.
