Killed on the third floor covering the elderly survivors' escape — his last message a plea to tell his brother he was loved.
Brandon-An's arc ends in a posthumous message Carl finds in a 'Messages from deceased Crawlers' folder. The warm eldercare maintenance worker who shepherded ~38 mostly-elderly survivors through the dungeon died as the third floor collapsed — he and a resident, Henry, held the line against advancing Shade Gremlins so Imani, Elle, and the others could reach the far-off stairwell in time. His final words dwell not on his death but on his estranged brother Chris-Andrews: they fought, Chris left the party (with a few who then died), and Brandon never got to say he loved him.
He asks Carl to find Chris, apologize, admit 'he was right,' and above all tell him he's loved. His death — a good man reduced to 'barely a blip' in the carnage — enrages and guts Carl more than anything yet.
A warm, hammer-wielding eldercare maintenance worker. (Deceased on the third floor.)
A beloved everyman ally whose death lands as the floor's emotional gut-punch and seeds Carl's search for Chris.
