Rail yard where the mimic died, the portal was staged, and the Nightmare Express began its suicide run.
Story so far
The trainyard is where the Station Mimic was killed, leaving an enormous mound of gore across the ground with the Map of the Stars buried inside it. Tizquick had helped drive The Nightmare Express down to the yard, and Carl and Katia Grim carried the Interdiction Rapid-Response Railway Repair Cart into position on the employee track there.
Carl set his last explosive satchels on the train's rear cars in the yard, said his goodbyes to Fire Brandy and Tizquick, and watched the train back up to the edge of the trainyard, whistle twice, and race into the portal. He then stood alone in the yard staring at the empty air where the portal had been.
Appearance
An open rail yard fouled by an enormous pile of dead mimic, with tracks running to the edge where the portal was opened.
Role
Staging ground for the floor's final operation.
