Story so far
The Map of the Stars was the single object that appeared on Carl's map inside the Station Mimic's corpse — the tier of drop above the neighborhood map (from neighborhood bosses) and the field guide (from borough bosses). Carl already knew what it would be, from both The Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook and Mordecai.
He waded into the gore and picked it up anyway despite it arriving too late in the floor to matter. Using it, he added boss locations and descriptions to a large area of the map, zoomed out, and saw nothing nearby except a few ManTauRs moving in the opposite direction.
