Enchanted Spiked Kneepads of the Munificent Goddess Kina
Kina's kneepads — passed from Katia to Donut to Penny — granting underwater breathing and, crucially, the same temporary deity effects as Carl's Scavenger's Daughter patch.
Story so far
The Enchanted Spiked Kneepads of the Munificent Goddess Kina are a much-traveled artifact, originally gifted to Katia on the ninth floor, then given to Donut, and now equipped on the pig Penelope for Carl's eleventh-floor gambit. They grant multiple benefits including the ability to breathe underwater, but most importantly they confer the same temporary deity effects as Carl's Scavenger's Daughter patch — meaning Penny, in the presence of a god, receives that god's temporary aura buff just as Carl does. Paired with a trap-module collar, the kneepads make the pig a mobile second beneficiary of divine buffs, a key piece of Carl's contingency-stacked plan to weaponize Taranis's lightning against Scolopendra.
Appearance
A set of enchanted spiked kneepads, sized and fitted onto the pig.
Role
