Heat Tape

Heat tape comes in sharply different grades; Juliette selects yellow-spooled Supply tape for her preparations.

Story so far

Juliette found that tape taken from IT fell apart, unlike Mechanical’s much better material. Exhaust wrapped in tape supplied by Scottie nearly caught fire, and his message helped Juliette and Walker recognize the failure as deliberate. The IT tape is engineered to fail.

Mechanical’s durable tape withstood the wool pad during Juliette’s cleaning and formed a melted protective skin over her gloves. For her latest preparations, Juliette specifies Supply tape on yellow spools rather than red ones. Solo identifies the yellow-spooled material as the good kind previously used on the compressor.
