Story so far
With the cleanup underway in Larracos, there is still no sign of the The War Mages anywhere on the floor — nor of Epitome Tagg or Fang. In Warlord Chat, Akuma finally explains: they never wished to keep the falling-down Reaver Castle. They came to test the potions they had gathered and to find The Scavenger's Daughter hidden within it, and having taken her, they left.
Akuma insists the war mages had no hand in the so-called action items other than Conscription, blaming Agatha — a warlord forced upon them in exchange for system access — for the rest. He tells Carl they are no enemies to him and offers alliance in exchange for Agatha's death, then departs the realm, at which point a Warlord Message declares the War Mage Rebellion defeated with no assets to award.
Role
Departing warlord faction whose true objective was a hidden captive, not the castle or the floor.
