Banger Sphere

Thrown metal ball Carl hurls with full strength to crack open cloaked mercenaries at the shield line.

Story so far

Carl holds a Banger Sphere tightly in his right hand through the worst of the firefight at the castle entrance, waiting for a target. When Donut calls out a Madness Monkeywrenchers operative standing before the piggie-face mural on the new barracks, Carl pops up over the One Way shield, aims, and hurls the metal ball with the full force of his strength.

There is a crack and a blood splatter. The merc's Tech-Based Cloak stutters, his outline becomes clear, and a heartbeat later he is peppered with crossbow bolts and crumples. When his Madness mask falls away, he proves to be a soother mercenary rather than a true The Viceroys — the first hint that the assault force is hired talent in costume.

Appearance

A fist-sized metal ball, thrown rather than fired, hitting hard enough to crack bone and draw blood spray.

Role

Carl's thrown explosive of choice for exposing and killing cloaked infiltrators.

Relationships

Carl — his thrown weapon at the shield line
Madness Monkeywrenchers — used to break their cloaks and expose them to crossbow fire
