Lemig Throne Room Massacre

The Throne Room Massacre · An AI Action

Fifty-plus Lemig personnel die in seconds when the botched extraction manifests Shi Maria through Carl in their headquarters.

Story so far

The Lemig Sortion knew the precise instant Carl went under for the Bedlam Bride procedure and tried to hijack it through Warlord Chat, intending to leave Carl a vegetable while the spider slaughtered the Princess Posse camp. Commander Stockade and Architect Houston planned it. Instead, Carl went translucent — witnesses at the base saw him in two places at once before he vanished entirely — and reappeared in Queen Imogen's Private Ballroom at the top of the transferred High Elf castle, now the Lemig headquarters. Under Shi Maria's influence he killed the entire room in seconds. Fifty or more corpses lie in a lake of blood; the walls are cracked all around; Luke dies at Carl's feet.

Carl wakes standing in the middle of it, eleven hours gone and twenty left on The Ceasefire timer. Surviving goblins and bugbear Mercenaries try to shoot him and are frozen with Naughty tags. Panford rules it an AI action rather than an attack — the ceasefire forbids no fighting between teammates or monsters, Stockade's people had their window while a notification hung over Carl and missed it, and Carl is untouchable now that the possession is over. Panford calls a foul for Undue Influence, and heavy sanctions fall on both the Lemig Sortion and The Madness. Mordecai and Rosetta laugh themselves sick when they hear.
