Throne Room Occupation Warning

six-hour throne timer · throne room cession warning

System notice giving Carl six hours to reclaim an occupied throne room or forfeit the castle and its land.

Story so far

The instant Mongo and Rend leave the Prism throne room, a notification fires: a throne room Carl owns is currently occupied by The Madness enemy forces, and if he does not return to claim the throne within six hours, the castle and its associated land will be ceded to The Dream. A countdown timer starts.

The warning exists because Carl deliberately parked the Madness mercenary Lockjaw inside with a chair and snacks. Since the Princess Posse cannot hold land detached from its main force, Carl uses the timer as a political device instead of a defense problem — it stops The Viceroys from quietly absorbing a third section of land and compels the other The Bloc warlords to act, hopefully setting Epitome Tagg against Architect Houston.

Role

The ownership rule Carl weaponizes to turn an indefensible castle into interfaction friction.

Relationships

Carl — Triggers and exploits the timer rather than defending the castle.
Lockjaw — The occupying enemy mercenary who keeps the timer running.
The Dream — Faction slated to receive the castle and land if the throne is not reclaimed.
The Viceroys — Rivals who would otherwise gain a third section of land.
