Sir Rendlegore

Story so far

The regenerating meatball pet Carl inherited from the dying crawler Ren arrived in the saferoom as a level-1 infant tummy acher — half a fist in size, black hairs instead of a mohawk, a single round tooth jutting from a pronounced underbite. Having died five times, his stats are buffed 125% but he has reverted to level 1, lost his memories, and by system rule cannot keep his old name. Donut declared his arrival an affair and a betrayal, comparing him to Cousin Oliver and Scrappy Doo, while Mongo swallowed him whole and then vomited him back up. He is suicidally affectionate, giggling as he tried to climb back into the dinosaur's mouth.

He bonded to Carl after a single bowl of accidental Crab Chowder!-style breakfast chowder, turning his dot from white to orange and opening a Bonded Pets tab. After a long argument over names — Meatball, Balzac, Sherman, Tugboat, Kimmy — Louis hoisted him up like Simba and proposed Sir Rendlegore, honoring Ren and fitting the royal court theme. Carl typed it in immediately. He has already used one of Donut's three strikes by growling at Mongo, and ended the chapter snoring at Carl's feet.

Appearance

A round meatball-like creature half the size of a fist, standing on two stout, elephant-like legs, with a not-quite-round head sporting a spattering of black hairs rather than the usual mohawk. A pronounced underbite pushes a single round tooth straight up. Smells faintly of expired chorizo.

Role

Carl's bonded pet, a regenerating tank-class mob that will reach full size at level 25.
