Judge Deng Bao

Deng Bao · Bao

The grixist ex-orc adjutant, the only one willing to serve the war mages, and unable to breathe underwater.

Story so far

With War Mage Rebellion promoted to a full team, the system assigns them an adjutant, and Judge Deng Bao — the grixist who had been the orc adjutant — is the only one who would take it. Baroness Victory reports he is in Larracos with the war mages right now, trying to unravel what is going on, and notes drily that The Reaver Castle is still submerged: the war mages can breathe underwater, and Deng Bao cannot.

His rulings still matter. When the war mages eject Nami from Eris via a Conscription Potion, Fopsy observes that Bao has not called foul, and that there does not appear to be any rule against it — leaving the tactic legal and the gods on the table.

Role

Adjutant to the war mage team whose refusal to call foul legitimizes their god-conscription tactic.

Relationships

War Mage Rebellion — Serves as their adjutant, the only candidate who accepted.
Fopsy — Fellow adjutant who notes Bao has not called foul.
The Reaver Castle — Cannot follow his team into it because it is underwater.
