Queen Imogen's Private Ballroom

Story so far

Carl wakes standing in a cavernous room he recognizes but cannot place at first. The exits are in the wrong positions for the goodwill ballroom he used during the Butcher's Masquerade, and he works out that this must be the third one — the ballroom near the top of the High Elf castle, Queen Imogen's private ballroom. When the castle was transferred to the ninth floor it landed in Lemig Sortion territory, and they made it their headquarters and throne room.

Now the walls are cracked all around, the tiled floor is a lake of blood, and fifty or more dead lie in it. Panford tells Commander Stockade flatly that his throne room is destroyed. Mercenaries flood in through every door, and Carl, finding no chairs, sits down in the middle of the carnage to wait out the Minor Quorum.

Appearance

A cavernous tiled ballroom with multiple doors, walls cracked through, the floor and every surface drenched in blood as though a bomb had gone off.

Role

The Lemig Sortion's headquarters and the site of the massacre.
