Story so far
The chapter opens in the aftermath: the transport has rolled onto its side and broken in half, Jamal's legs are destroyed, Louis is unconscious, and Tipid is visibly shaken by the blast.
Carl separates the causes for the group — the transport broke from the nuke, not from the No Disassemble EMP Bomb, while Jamal's unshielded legs failed at the very edge of the pulse. The same pulse killed the pet dragon and, unknown at the time, splattered Fang mid-transfer. Katia confirms many crawlers' cybernetics were ruined and that spares wait in the Saferoom.
