Story so far
With Emberus's three-minute countdown running, the saferoom was the last shelter on The Ninth Floor. Samantha, burned black, moved back into it after her outburst about Kimaris, leaving a black charred smear across the door.
Mordecai refused it at first, sitting outside in the dirt with a cigarette and a bottle of Crown Royal, until Carl told him to get back in; he threw the bottle away and stepped toward the door. Everyone else made for the stairwell instead.
