character

Remex

Third-floor quest Carl and Donut stopped, cited as the template for the war mages' monster generator.

Story so far

Rosetta invokes Remex while explaining the Zarogoth Generator Antenna to Princess Donut. The magic behind the war mages' generator, she says, is similar to the Remex quest the pair stopped on the third floor, mixed with a ghoul generator from the train levels.

The comparison is meant to be actionable rather than nostalgic: it tells Donut this is a known category of device with a known weak point — find the antenna, kill it, and every generated mob collapses at once.

Role

Past-floor reference point that lets Rosetta classify the war mages' generator.
