Personal Guard

The Sultana's Personal Guard

The sultana's own bodyguard, explicitly a different group from the castle guard that defends her fortress.

Story so far

Princess Vinata's personal guard is distinct from the Naga Castle Guard, a distinction Rosetta and Tipid were careful to draw when identifying kill targets: the head of the castle guard is a cousin and therefore in the Line of Succession, while the personal guard is a separate body.

The elite core of the sultana's protection, the six-strong Honor Guard, is the group that vanishes with her each season and returns one member short.

Role

The sultana's bodyguard, separate from her castle's garrison.

Relationships

Princess Vinata — Guards her personally.
