Story so far
Zev tells the guild that Carl is on a short quest with no known local hazards, preserving the truth without revealing the sponsor box. She reports that the AI is especially insistent nobody disrupt the mission or its feed.
The AI leaks internal debate over those orders, causing a larger council crisis. Zev says the event obviously involves Residuals but is forbidden from defining them, expecting Carl to learn firsthand. She privately treats it as potentially trivial even while acknowledging that institutional reactions are severe.
