character

Pin Lee

Pin-Lee

Pin-Lee's reconstructed charter defeats the salvage claim and gives every colonist legal ownership of the choices the rescuers fought to preserve.

Story so far

Pin-Lee has repeatedly used law and systems evidence to defend Murderbot and victims of corporate abuse. In the lost-colony system she rebuilt Adamantine's fragmentary charter into a sovereignty argument while hidden populations and contamination complicated every assumption.

With Holism and its support fleet present as witnesses, Pin-Lee and Karime's documents force Barish-Estranza to acknowledge that the colonists are sole proprietors of the planet. Pin-Lee then joins Dr. Mensah as Preservation's independent arbiter for the separatists' research agreement with the university. Her legal work changes evacuation from corporate removal into a right each person may exercise or decline.

Appearance

An adult legal and systems specialist of unspecified features and build, dressed in sharp practical business attire and working from dense charter and contract records.

Role

Pin-Lee is the legal architect of the colony's ownership and the watchdog over its new research contracts.

Relationships

Karime — Karime and Pin-Lee prepare the documents that convert a disputed colony into recognized proprietor.
Barish-EstranzaBk 5 — Barish-Estranza must accept Pin-Lee's charter under the scrutiny of multiple independent ships.
Polar Settlement — The Polar Settlement gains Pin-Lee as a third-party arbiter in negotiations with the university.
