Story so far
Holism arrived armed during the polar escape and forced Barish-Estranza's mutiny toward surrender. It is another secretly sentient University of Mihira and New Tideland baseship, larger or at least imposing enough to provoke ART's competitive attention.
Holism brings its crew and two support ships, supplies independent witnesses for the colony's charter settlement, and deploys a temporary station module to decontaminate and repair ART's wormhole drive. It will remain after ART leaves to negotiate with the polar colonists, build planetary infrastructure, and support alien-remnant research. Holism repeatedly pings Murderbot, offers to teach it about infrastructure, and then teaches Three instead. Its impeccably precise protocols and apparent indifference make ART's dislike increasingly obvious.
