Preservation sends an armed responder before corporate reinforcements, rescues its people, shelters Three, and joins the legal defense of the contaminated colony.
Preservation Alliance is the non-corporate polity that bought Murderbot’s contract, recognized its personhood, and offered it a home. After ART secretly launches a message buoy during its abduction, Preservation dispatches an armed station responder with Mensah, Pin-Lee, security personnel, and a rescue crew only hours behind the kidnapped survey group.
The responder arrives in the lost-colony system before Barish-Estranza reinforcements. Mensah’s private code authenticates the mission, resolves the apparent kidnapping and facility attack, and brings Amena and Thiago safely back under Preservation protection. The polity also offers newly free Three a place without corporate ownership.
Preservation’s arrival gives ART’s crew the armed support and Corporation Rim legal expertise needed to contest Barish-Estranza’s claim. Its alliance with the university team extends the rescue beyond its own citizens to the altered colonists, whose decontamination, autonomy, and possible relocation remain unsettled.
Preservation is represented by an armed station responder, civilian leaders traveling beside security personnel, open non-corporate institutions, and practical equipment marked for public rather than proprietary service.
Preservation is Murderbot’s first chosen community and the rescue coalition’s political refuge. It offers force, law, and sanctuary without treating people or constructs as property.
