The Valkyrie

Story so far

The Valkyrie are the elite women warriors of the Valkyrie Spires, griffin-riders all, their faces painted with sky-blue handprints and eyes, white hair braided long, noses and ears studded with iron and bone. Led by Sefi the Quiet, they answer the flame in the sky to find the dying Ragnar, and though at first they take Darrow's party prisoner at Queen Alia's command, they follow Sefi in the great turning: infiltrating Asgard in disguise to help slay the false gods, then acclaiming Sefi as queen when she beheads Alia. Swiftly they learn gravBoots and pulse weapons—one flying into a mountain at mach two—and ride to the tribes of the Blood Coast, the Bleaking Moor, the Shattered Spine, and the Witch Pass to spread the word that Asgard has fallen.

Now painted on the left with Sefi's blue handprint and on the right with the Reaper's slingBlade, they become the shock cavalry of the Rising and the core of the united Obsidian host bound for Mars.
