Lyria

Lyria of Lagalos · Truffle Pig

Lyria escorts Volga to Darrow, reports the election's result, and kneels first before the friend she knows is about to be made queen.

Story so far

Lyria is a Gamma Red whose loyalty to Volga has survived capture, Fá's ritual, and the battle that killed the false Allfather. She pilots the shuttle to Harmonia with a conspicuously formal radio call, only to find Cassius gleefully reviving a nickname she dislikes. The comic exchange does not change her practical place in the transition: Sevro counts her as a Howler escort, allowing Volga to leave the islands while voting concludes.

After giving Darrow and Volga room to speak, Lyria returns with the result. Her second hot drop is notably more graceful, but her mood is not light. She says the vote has been tallied, looks at Volga with pride mixed with terrible worry, and goes to one knee. That gesture confirms what Volga already fears: the braves have chosen her, and Lyria will stand beside her friend as the new burden begins.

Appearance

A small Red woman with curly hair and a practical pilot's bearing, animated and capable in the shuttle but tense with concern for Volga's future.

Role

Lyria is Volga's intimate ally and a grounded Republic connection at the exact moment Volga is asked to lead the Volk.

Relationships

Volga — Volga is Lyria's closest friend; Lyria's pride and fear at the vote show that she understands both the honor and danger of the crown.
Cassius — Cassius teasingly treats Lyria as a junior Howler and tries to impose a callsign she considers demeaning.
Darrow — Darrow relies on Lyria's Howler status to give Volga a lawful escort during the sensitive election period.
