Lionel Polanski

Polanski · the owner of the Scopuli

A paper-only identity tied to Tycho's hidden assets, reportedly checked into an Eros flophouse and possibly seeking clandestine rescue.

Story so far

Lionel Polanski is presented to James Holden as a person who exists only on paper. The identity owns assets that Bredon Tycho does not want publicly associated with Tycho Manufacturing and Engineering Concern, including the courier Scopuli. A message has reached Fred Johnson saying that the Scopuli's nonexistent owner checked into a low-level Eros flophouse.

The contradiction makes Polanski the center of an urgent mystery rather than a known man. Fred assumes whoever used the name may understand Tycho's operations, may be in danger, and may be unable to ask openly for help. Holden agrees to take the Rocinante to Eros to find him, but no reliable appearance, motives, or even confirmation of a physical person are yet available.

Appearance

No physical appearance is known. Lionel Polanski is currently known only through paperwork, a hotel registration, and the secret ownership trail around the Scopuli.

Role

Polanski is the false or concealed identity that gives the Rocinante crew their first direct lead from the Scopuli to Eros.
