Weird Sisters

the three women · the ladies · the sisters · the vampire women · the brides

The three vampire women call Mina sister outside the holy circle, then Van Helsing destroys them in their coffins before sunset.

Story so far

Near Castle Dracula, the Weird Sisters materialize from snow and mist around Mina Harker and Van Helsing's circle of Sacred Host. They call Mina sister and invite her to join them, but her horrified recoil proves that her human soul still resists their kinship.

By daylight Van Helsing enters the castle chapel and finds the three women in their tombs. Their beauty nearly entrances him until Mina's cry returns to memory. He stakes and beheads each vampire; their bodies crumble into dust, ending the household that once terrorized Jonathan.

Appearance

Three beautiful women: two dark-haired with strong aquiline features and one fair with abundant golden hair; all have brilliant eyes, red lips, sharp teeth, pale dresses, and shadowless forms.

Role

The sisters are Dracula's remaining vampire household and a vision of Mina's threatened future, destroyed before they can shelter or join the returning Count.

Relationships

Mina Harker — They call Mina Harker sister, but her revulsion demonstrates that the shared curse has not conquered her will.
Van Helsing — Van Helsing resists their enchantment and destroys all three in their daytime helplessness.
Count Dracula — Their destruction leaves Count Dracula without his old household as he approaches the castle.
