The battered, common flatbed rail cart — third-rail or battery powered, portal-selectable, and startable by anyone.
The most common vehicle in Station 75's little yard, and the one the interdiction teams actually used to death. It is a flatbed about the size of a small car on two sets of four wheels, with an outboard-style engine on the back, a few controls and a glowing magical switch. It includes battery power or powered-track selection and a portal track selector, and — crucially, unlike the Interdiction Rapid-Response Railway Repair Cart — the description notes that a Gnoll Transit Security Officer is not required to run it. It is explicitly not meant to be a primary response vehicle, only to carry extra personnel and supplies as backup.
A third variant is the same flatbed with no engine at all: just a hitch and a ring of holes for railings or equipment, a trailer to be towed. Carl cannot lift either into his inventory even with his strength — a single four-wheel axle set feels like a ton and a half, and there are two — and neither can Katia Grim with her mass maxed out, not yet.
Each powered cart carries a brick-sized dwarven battery; the one Carl pulls sits at two percent, likely just enough to nudge the cart through a portal. He takes it, calculating another forty-plus batteries for his stash. Katia Grim, drawing on her Gear Head knowledge, leads the dismantling of one entire engine into his inventory, confident they can rebuild it onto something else.
Battered, well-worn wooden flatbeds the size of small cars, some with outboard-style engines and glowing magical switches.
The interdiction teams' everyday rail cart, and a source of engines and batteries for Carl.
