Mimic Minion
the Mimic
Death Challenge combatant named in the sample betting line Odette quotes on air.
Story so far
The Mimic surfaces in Odette's explanation of how Death Challenge! wagering works. Illustrating what a specific outcome bet looks like, she offers: Carl survives, the Mimic is killed by Grull, and Grull is ejected from the arena via a secondary summoning.
That one sentence preserves the shape of the arena fight as the galaxy watched it, with the Mimic as a named participant among dozens of possible outcomes viewers could gamble on. The general bet, that Carl simply survived, opened at fifty to one and paid out spectacularly.
