The industrial portal manufacturer whose branded hardware runs the Iron Tangle's switching, sweeping and dialling.
Every portal Carl analyses at Station 75 carries the same brand. The five track portals in the little yard read as 'Ultima Corp DungeonWerx Industrial Subspace Multi-Destination Light-Duty Portal', one-way and selectable, requiring a DungeonWerx Portal Selector to dial a destination and defaulting to selection one, the Orange Line, if none is made. The blade on the front of a rapid-response cart reads as an 'Ultima Corp DungeonWerx Subspace Heavy-Duty, self-adjusting Clean-up Portal'.
The branding is quietly revealing. The Iron Tangle is not bespoke magic but off-the-shelf industrial kit from a vendor, dialled by a pair of numbered handles on a dust-covered screen — the same corporate, subcontracted, cost-managed reality that has Zev stuck in a spacesuit because Hinter would not rent out its integration cores. The dungeon is a machine assembled from catalogue parts.
Never seen as an organisation; visible only as brand names on portal readouts and a two-handled numeric selector.
The vendor whose portal hardware makes the entire rail system — and the party's rescue plan — possible.
