character

Alex Kamal

Alex sets the Roci down on Io's surface to land the assault team, wishing Bobbie 'good hunting' as she goes to war.

Story so far

With Holden gone to the Agatha King, Alex Kamal flies the Rocinante down to the Io surface to drop the assault team. He counts down the descent for Bobbie, Amos, and Prax in the airlock, sets the ship on the deck, and sends Bobbie off with a warm 'Good hunting, soldier' — a small line that makes her wonder whether they might have become friends given time. He keeps the ship ready on the surface amid Io's radiation and instability while the team goes in and Bobbie faces the monster.

Appearance

A Martian with dark skin and thinning black hair at the controls, steady and warm-voiced over the comm.

Role

Rocinante pilot who lands the ship on Io to deploy the assault team.

Relationships

Bobbie Draper — The Marine he drops with a warm 'good hunting,' a friendship he senses could have grown.
Holden — His captain, away on the King, whose ship he flies down to the surface in his absence.
Amos Burton — The crewmate he lands for the lab assault.
