Grigori the Placid

The fastidious fleshmancer, now cheerfully improvising Corcunda's never-before-attempted mid-race reunion — and eyeing Samantha as his next project.

Story so far

Grigori the Placid, the poised level-93 human Fleshmancer hired to reunite Corcunda's split halves, warms to the challenge as the plan unravels. He details the mechanics — unzip both halves, keep each alive with spells and potions, press them together, and cast a joining spell that fuses them over a few minutes — while cheerfully admitting he has never actually done it, since two 'halfsies' rarely survive more than minutes after a Split Personality cast. He contrasts the intended fusion with Meld, the dominant-caster consumption used by slimes and demons, styling himself 'the best there is' at fixing other people's magical mistakes.

Dismissively 'familiar' with Samantha's withering-spirit condition (which he calls impossible and wants to examine), he notes that with the flesh golem now wasted he still has 'multiple options' to give her a body. When the Dominators drive Corky off to the starting line, Carl orders the unflappable mage to spend the next half hour learning to *drive* — so the reunion can be attempted mid-race.

Appearance

A tall, gaunt, poised human man, ramrod-straight in flowing blue robes, fastidious and coolly clinical.

Role

The fastidious fleshmancer now forced to improvise Corcunda's untested reunion during the race, with Samantha's rebodying as his next intrigue.

Relationships

Corcunda — The split half-mantaur whose untested fusion he must now attempt mid-race.
Samantha — The 'impossible' withering spirit he wants to examine and offers to rebody.
Carl — Orders him to learn to drive so the reunion can happen during the heat.
