The fastest crawler in the dungeon, whose stubborn refusal of every deal ends with his death at Britney's hands one gate short of escape.
Osvaldo, the small red-haired Curupira crawler and the fastest racer in the dungeon (dexterity 285 buffed, with Deflector, Launch, Super Speedster, and Puddle Jump), meets the end his stubbornness makes inevitable. Refusing Carl's final desperate pleas — even declining to worship or deal, glad only that they 'worked together when we could' — he stakes everything on his speed in the rigged final heat. His teammate Filipe L has quietly taken a deal, leaving him alone atop Bruna.
When Carl blows the L'Engle Building open to the roof portals with his poleaxe charges, Osvaldo triggers his Launch spell and rockets for the exit faster than the eye can follow — but the containment rules bar him from crossing outside his mount until Bruna is dead, and he hits the portal wall at speed and is stunned. In that frozen instant Britney — now moving just as fast, powered by the Ysalte memorial crystal — leaps up, kills him, and lands atop his corpse, claiming his bounty. Carl mourns him as another frightened soul who 'had a way out and refused to take it,' unable to hate him.
His mount Bruna is saved by the crew's shields and gremlins.
A small, barely-five-foot crawler still mostly human-looking, with vivid unnaturally red hair, a sharp resentful face, and something odd about his feet hidden in oversized boots.
The dungeon's fastest crawler, killed by Britney one gate short of the escape his pride would never trade for a deal.
