Invulnerable bear-sized scarabs plucked from Khepri's feast table — meant to form a floor boss, now an unkillable swarm loose in the race.
The Sacred Feaster Scarab Beetle is a level-50 monster that the AI harvested from Khepri's never-ending feast temple in Club Vanquisher on the twelfth floor, and its defining trait is that it cannot be killed — the system flatly states 'This mob is invulnerable.' Relative to the shrunken racers each beetle is the size of a bear: an armored, six-legged, oddly hairy bug that shines wet black shot through with deep purple opalescence and a familiar yellow tinge, with scythe-like forward legs strong enough to lop off a head, and (to the racers' horror) wings that unfold from its back armor for flight. The AI hid these invulnerable bugs inside the Human Shell loops intending them to flow harmlessly to the roof and merge into a hundred-foot gate boss, the Sacred Guardian of the Immortal Tem; instead a death-cult error tied to Khepri broke the interaction, cancelling the boss and turning the swarm's aggro on the racers. They can only be fought off, not slain — Carl freezes clusters with Biscuit Packs and disco-ball smoke, and Imani's Confuzzled spell stuns them briefly — as they pour from the ruptured shells and give chase on the wing.
Bear-sized (to the shrunken racers) armored scarab beetles, wet-black shells iridescing purple and yellow, scythe-like forelegs, and unfolding wings.
An unkillable swarm of Khepri's feast-scarabs, meant to form a floor boss but loosed lethally on the racers by a game error.
