Story so far
The lower Carl descends into Larracos, the more active it gets. On the way toward the Desperado Club a group of dwarves jogs by singing a military-style running cadence, hammers and sickles carried over their shoulders.
Carl assesses them coldly: most of these soldiers are only levels 25 to 40. They are trying, but they are not in very good sync. He feels his lips tighten as he watches them — this is the army the Awakened NPCs have raised to hold the city against the invading factions, and it is nowhere near what the Faction Wars will throw at it. It is the strongest argument yet for the Crawler Army Carl and Donut are recruiting street by street.
