character

Eileithyia

Goddess of Childbirth

The summoned goddess of birth who grants Katia's pregnancy boon and makes her human again.

Story so far

Summoned into the tent on the dying ninth floor, Eileithyia appeared in her true form for the first time, having previously worn the shape of Huanxin Jinx. Her presence granted a temporary floor-wide effect: all damage against female opponents quartered, all female party members striking at 500% melee power. Because she was a sponsored deity she could not move until Katia made her boon selection, and so she stood frozen through Donut's execution of her sponsor, never seeing it happen.

When Katia chose, the goddess came alive mid-gesture, confused by the soap bubbles on her arms. She touched Katia's cheek, named her one of her own — a woman touched by the stillness — and heard her request to be made pregnant. Warned of how cruel this world is to a woman with the gift, Katia explained she needed the ineligibility to reach the frightened children above; Eileithyia stared upward, sensed a place full of lonely daughters she could not reach, and called Katia's reasoning wisdom, addressing Donut as champion of Nekhebit and harbinger of doom. She required a human father, refused Carl, blessed Louis as a good soul, made Katia human once more, declared the child would be a boy, and faded away.

Appearance

A large humanoid woman in white and gold robes with flowers in her hair, olive skin, dark eyes and dark curly hair; the lower half of her face is distinctly alien, almost nullian-like, and she has four breasts and a three-fingered hand.

Role

The sponsored goddess whose boon gives Katia an exit from the dungeon and gives Donut the bonus to kill a CEO.

Relationships

Katia — Grants her the pregnancy boon and restores her humanity
Huanxin Jinx — Her sponsor, killed in front of her while she was frozen
Donut — Names her champion of Nekhebit and harbinger of doom
