The Kinder Facility
Off-floor holding facility where the dungeon keeps all the children and pregnant women, unseen but never forgotten.
Story so far
Florin explains that The Kinder Facility is where they're keeping all the kids and the pregnant women — somewhere up there, beyond the crawl. Jurgen's pregnant wife Heidi disappeared into it, and Florin says there are a lot of men and women in Larracos with children who might be up there.
Its existence quietly shapes who will and won't accept Taking the Deal at the start of the Tenth Floor. Florin believes Lucia Mar's fate may be tied to the facility, and that Jurgen will die protecting her because of it. He presses Carl on the point with unusual intensity: protecting the kids, he says, is the most important thing one can do.
Appearance
Never seen — referred to only as somewhere "up there," outside the floors the crawlers fight through.
Role
The dungeon's holding place for non-combatant children and expectant mothers, and a lever on crawler loyalty.
