Carl's Demands

Carl's stall

Carl's feigned acceptance of Tagg's terms, buying time by demanding assurances he never expects to collect.

Story so far

Once he understands that Epitome Tagg has no viable way to free Louis, Carl states the new objective plainly: "We need to stall him. Make him think we're going along." He then writes over Warlord Chat that they will take Tagg to the castle, but that he wants assurances Tagg will keep his end of the bargain regarding Louis.

Tagg answers with a good-faith gesture of his own — remove Team Retribution soldiers from the Throne Room — and Carl replies that he will see if he can convince her. Then he turns back to the room: "Okay. I'm still waiting on ideas, folks."

Role

The deliberate deception that keeps Tagg calm while the real rescue is assembled.
