Story so far
When Damien finds Tipid hallucinating in a Zero Zone, he tells him he must get straight to a Viceroy system to have his brain lesions repaired — the transport is already booked. The price is a good chunk of Tipid's pension, and in the end it consumes the entire pension plus an additional loan, because Tipid never negotiated post-release health care into his contract.
For Tipid the destination is a horror in itself: the Viceroys are the masked monsters of the faction wars who called themselves The Madness, and whose chief surgeon killed Rosaline. A Not-for-Conquest for destitute ex-crawlers is sending a former crawler to accompany him there.
Role
The only place able to heal Tipid's illusion-inflicted brain injuries, and the reason he ends up broke.
